EXCITING NEWS THAT HIGHLIGHTS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF OUR COMPANY NAME - SECURITY FOODS
We are excited to announce that Security Foods is the first Australian company to achieve JAS accreditation for its entire beef production program.
What is JAS? After Japan discovered BSE (Mad Cow) in its cattle herd the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) responded by developing the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS) of quality assurance. This is a national program that imposes a level of record keeping and production protocols, designed to guarantee the safety and traceability, of all the beef produced in that country.
At Security Foods we also take the matter of food security seriously. That is why we developed our own fully integrated quality assurance program overlaying our entire beef production system. Just like the Japanese government, we wish to provide our customers with a quality management system that guarantees the highest level of FOOD SAFETY.
In granting Security Foods JAS accreditation, the Japanese food authorities have recognised the integrity of our quality program and its compliance with their own JAS standards. This is a wonderful reward for the enormous effort our own personnel have, over the past four years, put into developing the Security Foods quality assurance program.
Security Foods takes great pleasure in informing both existing and potential customers that we will continue to do everything we can to meet your expectations for the safety, quality and integrity of all the beef products that we produce.
